October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. To help spread awareness, C.A.R.E. of Atchison County has set up a pinwheel display at the Hwy. 111/Hwy. 136 intersection in Rock Port, Missouri. Each of the 100 pinwheels represents a victim of domestic violence that C.A.R.E. worked with in 2025. If you would like to help spread awareness, there are pinwheels available at: Rock Port – Atchison County Library, Stoner Drug, A Perfect 10, and Trail’s End; Fairfax – Fertilizer Service Company; and Tarkio – Rogers Pharmacy and The Gas Spot.
