The Nodaway County Cattlemen’s Association (NCCA) will host “Plan for the Future: Farm Succession Planning Seminar” on Monday, November 9, 2026, at the Ag Learning Center in Maryville, Missouri. The session is designed to offer actionable guidance for area farm families and local business owners preparing to transition their operations to the next generation.

The seminar features guest speaker Wesley Tucker from University of Missouri Extension, a specialist recognized for helping agricultural families navigate the operational, financial, and relational challenges of succession planning.

“Planning for the next generation is one of the most critical decisions a family farm or business will ever make, but it is also one of the easiest to postpone because it can feel overwhelming,” said Joseph Frueh, President of the Nodaway County Cattlemen’s Association. “Our goal with this event is to give producers clear, realistic tools to begin those conversations early. Whether you are looking at retirement in two years or twenty, having a plan in place protects both the family and the enterprise.”

The evening begins with a complimentary chili dinner served at 6:00 p.m., followed by the seminar presentation at 6:30 p.m. Admission is completely free, and no pre-registration is required. The featured speaker is sponsored by FCS Financial.
