Bingo at the Rock Port Senior Center, 505 Country Club Drive, is scheduled the second and fourth Tuesday of every month. Games start at 10:00 a.m. so you will have to enjoy a game or two with friends before lunch. The next Bingo games will be August 26.

The East Atchison Lady Wolves Volleyball Team will host the EA Jamboree at the TAC at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 26. The Lady Wolves will host Nodaway Valley and Hamburg.

The Atchison County Library will host a Teen Movie in the Park at Fairfax Friday, August 29, at 6:00 p.m. The movie will be "When the Game Stands Tall."

The 2025 T.M. Wharton Blue Jay Classic will be held Sunday, August 31, at the Rock Port Golf & Country Club. The Blue Jay Classic Golf tournament began in 2010. The East Atchison Lady Wolves will host their first official home matches Thursday, September 4, at 5:30 p.m. at the TAC. The junior varsity and varsity will host Union Star. The Lady Wolves will also host a varsity tournament Saturday, September 6, at the TAC beginning at 8:00 a.m.

Fairfax Marching Pride will be marching down Main Street in Fairfax Friday, September 5, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. in full uniform to kick off their marching season. Their first parade is Saturday, September 6, at 1:00 p.m. at the Popcorn Day Parade in Hamburg, Iowa.

The Fairfax Improvement Foundation will sponsor a ribbon cutting at KG Buds Designs By Jay at 3 p.m. Friday, September 5. The flower shop, located at 119 E.
