  • Rock Port FFA Greenhouse Flower/Plant Sale

    The Rock Port FFA Greenhouse Flower/Plant Sale will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 9, and from 8 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday, May 10. The greenhouse is located on the school west lot.

  • Household hazardous waste collection

    The Nodaway County household hazardous waste (HHW) collection site will be open Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.   • District Track

    Good luck to all of our local athletes as they compete in District track and field competitions in Worth County, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Grant City Saturday, May 10.

  • Tarkio High School Class of 2025 Commencement Ceremony

    Tarkio High School graduation will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 11, in the high school gym. The graduates will create a receiving line on the east side of the building following the ceremony or in the hallway if it is raining.

  • Campus work days

    Tarkio Tech campus cleanup Tarkio Technology Institute is hosting a clean-up week May 12-16 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Volunteers are needed to work inside and outside the buildings.   • Rock Port High School Baseball and Senior Parents’ Night

    The Rock Port High School Baseball Team will host Maysville at 5 p.m. at the city ball field Monday, May 12. Seniors who played spring sports and their parents will be honored before the start of the game in a special ceremony.

  • Bingo at the Senior Center

    Bingo at the Rock Port Senior Center, 505 Country Club Drive, is scheduled the second and fourth Tuesday of every month. Games start at 10:00 a.m. so you will have to enjoy a game or two with friends before lunch. The next Bingo games will be May 13.

  • Fairfax R-3 Elementary, Jr. High, and High School Awards

    Fairfax R-3 Elementary, Jr. High, and High School students will be recognized for their achievements this year in an awards' assembly that begins at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, in the high school gym. This is also the last day of school and classes will dismiss early.
