Drug Take Back Program Saturday, June 4 – Rock Port, Fairfax & Tarkio

The community Hospital Auxiliary met with 18 members and 1 guest reciting the Auxiliary Prayer.
Roger Steinkruger, Hospital CEO, gave a brief update on recent happenings at the hospital, area clinics, and new programs being offered in connection with the hospital. All members were invited and encouraged to attend the Sterling Connections Informational Open House following our regular meeting.
The minutes and Treasurer’s Report of the March 16th meeting were read and approved.
The Auxiliary has agreed to purchase an Elliptical Machine for the hospital. It is currently being researched to find the best one to fit the needs of our hospital.
The Gift Shop has many new items including; diffusers that light up with color, detangling hair brushes, and lots of new scarves, and jewelry. All CD’s are on sale for $7.50.
Our Spring House Cleaning Sale of items from the Gift Shop was a big success. The left over items were donated to Tiffany Care Center in Mound City. Other area Nursing Homes have received our donations in past years.
The Auxiliary is working with local law enforcement to sponsor a Drug Take Back Program. The program provides a place for you to take unused and unneeded nonprescription or prescription medicines in a safe manner. We will be set up in the following locations on Saturday, June 4th.
Fairfax from 8 – 9:30 a.m. at the hospital.
Tarkio from 10 – 11:30 p.m. at the Farmer’s State Bank.
Rock Port from 12 – 12:30 p.m. at Happy Hippo Auto Wash (Scott Melvin’s Car Wash).
We were pleased with the turnout and sales of our Spring Bake Sale and our Spring Plant Sale. We greatly appreciate the donations of Hurst’s Greenery and NWMI.
Our next meeting will be on Thursday, May 26 at 1:30 p.m. We welcome anyone interested in joining the Auxiliary to come and join us!
