Carmen Jean (Youel) Brindle was born August 17, 1922, to Milford “Gov” and Hope Youel, and died May 28, 2016. She married Earl Brindle on December 25, 1940, and except for the WWII years, they lived and labored on the farm that they loved near Fairfax, Missouri, in Atchison County.
In 2002 because of Earl’s failing health they moved to Houston, Texas, to be near their daughters.
Earl passed away in 2004, and Carmen remained in an assisted-living community. She will be missed by her daughters, Ann Cartwright and husband Lon, and Chris Finch and husband Reggie, and her granddaughters, Jenny and Sarah Cartwright.
Even in her declining years, Carmen remained cheerful, polite and always had something positive to say.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 2, 2016, at the Schooler Funeral Home in Fairfax, Missouri, conducted by Rev. Elaine Loggi. Interment was at English Grove Cemetery, Fairfax, Missouri. Services were under the direction of Schooler Funeral Home.
