Tate Johnson traveled to Jefferson City, Missouri, May 14, to do some clowning around! Tate is a member of the Atchison County 4-H where he is part of swine, welding, woodworking, and clowning projects.
While in Jefferson City for the first statewide invitational in clowning, Tate learned the history of clowns and clowning, skits, balloon animals, magic tricks, juggling, body language, props, and make up. Tate even created his own skit that everyone loved and they performed it in front of all the parents.
Clowning is just one of the many projects that the University of Missouri Extension in Atchison County 4-H offers. The sky really is the limit for all of the projects you could do. If you are interested in 4-H contact Sam O’Riley at 660-623-6231.
