Approximately 110 bicyclists on the Border Raiders bicycle tour traveled through Fairfax June 8. While in Fairfax the bicyclists enjoyed lunch in the park.
Jackie Graves has been chosen as Employee of the Month for June 2006 at Community Hospital Association in Fairfax.
Shaun and Sam O’Riley, Fairfax, are the parents of a son, Cowen Isaiah O’Riley, born June 6 at Community Hospital Association in Fairfax.
The theme of this year’s Fairfax Fair, sponsored by the Optimist Club, will be “125 Years of Fairfax” in celebration of Fairfax’s 125th birthday.

Bill Wells has been hired to teach instrumental/vocal music for the 1991-1992 school year at Fairfax R-III School.

They were accompanied by their advisor, Mrs. Ann Martin and Mrs. Dana Osburn.

Bow hunters from at least four states will be competing for 42 trophies at the Fairfax Golden Arrow Bow Hunters’ tournament Sunday.
Miss Amy Bradfield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Wayne Bradfield, Fairfax, is the winner of the MFA college scholarship.
Twin brothers Denny and Danny Muldrew did such a good job on their News-Press, Gazette route that they won a four-day trip to Houston, Texas. Only one of the partners could make the trip, so they flipped a coin – and Danny called it correctly.
Hunter’s Hy-Klas advertised the following Father’s Day specials: pork loin, 75¢ per pound; chuck roast, 45¢ per pound; Miracle Whip, 39¢ for a quart jar; Betty Crocker cake mix, 29¢ each; and Kraft Velveeta cheese, 89¢ for a two-pound box.
