Atchison County 4-H – Held a cake decorating class on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, for youth in the cake decorating project. Michelle Oswald from Memories in the Baking taught youth how to frost a cake, smooth it out, and how to use different decorating techniques. The youth and even the adults had quite a fun time learning different techniques to use for their local Achievement Day during the Atchison County Fair, as well as the State Fair if their item was sent on. Cake decorating is just one of the many projects that 4-H has to offer at the University of Missouri Extension in Atchison County. Above, Michelle Oswald is pictured looking on Abby Harms as she decorates a cake while her mother, Lee Harms, steadies the plate.
