Director Devon Sons remarked, “Josie Watkins is tearing it up as she leads this cast as The Little Mermaid Ariel! The newcomer to musical theatre, Clint Dougherty, will leave everyone laughing and cheering as Sebastian. Joshua Lucas has stepped up to the challenge of being a prince and is doing a great job. Gabriel Minter is a natural on stage as Flounder and probably has a future in dance, too! Molly Carpenter, Erica Taylor, Tyne Chaney, and Karabella Hernandez are adding some great singing and personality to their roles as Mersisters as well as the ensemble. Christina Hall and Gabby DeRosier are pulling double duty. Not only are they acting and adding their voices to the Mersisters, they are also dance captains and leading a great group of young dancers from the Studio at HRC in Tarkio and the Valley Dance Company in Shenandoah, Iowa. The “9 to 5 Girls,” Mikaela Sons, Annie Schmerber and Tiana Jones, have transitioned to the dark side and are loving being the villains! Lee Goolsby and Jennifer Burney have joined the cast for their first Liberty Theatre production and will not disappoint as they bring to life the hilarious Scuttle and Chef Louis. Michael Hays is making a return to the theatre and doing a great job taking on the role of Grimsby, who has his hands full with a love struck prince. Shawn Minter is playing King Triton. Enough said!”
