The Rock Port FFA members, who attended the leadership conference in Washington D.C., stop for a quick picture in front of the Lincoln Memorial. Members include (left to right): Ally Demott, Kaycee Davis, Melanie Wilson, Juleighanne Adams and Ben Lucas.

On June 14, 2016, five members of the Rock Port FFA got the opportunity to travel to Washington DC for the Washington Leadership Conference. The students had the chance to meet FFA students from all over the United States, and participate in numerous leadership sessions. The students also got the chance to tour monuments, Arlington National Cemetery, and go through different museums. The members who attended the conference were; Melanie Wilson, Benjamin Lucas, Juleighanne Adams, Kaycee Davis, and Ally Demott along with Advisor Mr. Ross Hastert.
The chapter would like to thank all the community members who buy fruit, attend our fish fry, and participate in all our fundraising efforts. We would also like to thank the Morgan Trust for their generous contribution to help make this trip affordable to our students.
If you get a chance to visit with any of the students who attended the conference I am sure they will have plenty of stories to tell.
