The Community Hospital Auxiliary met June 16, 2016, with 20 members present. The meeting began with all members reciting the Auxiliary Prayer. The minutes and treasurer’s reports were given and approved.
Roger Steinkruger, Hospital CEO, gave an interesting update on new and continuing quality programs at the hospital and surrounding area clinics. He offered a time for questions and suggestions from members. He also shared appreciation to the group for its support of Community Hospital-Fairfax.
There are many new items in the auxiliary’s gift shop. Everyone is encouraged to stop in and take a look at the various items of interest for all ages at reasonable prices. There are many things for various occasions and times of gift giving such as birthdays and holidays, not just in the case of a loved one being ill or injured.
The Auxiliary has a memorial plaque to honor past members whose loved ones have designated the Community Hospital Auxiliary as their memorial, at the time of a member’s death. It is a wonderful way to honor a loved one and help provide needed equipment for our local hospital. The plaque is hanging in the lobby of the hospital.
Auxiliary members appreciate the many ways area citizens support their group and local health care services. If you are interested in becoming a member, please feel free to join them for their next meeting in the hospital conference room on July 21, at 1:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
