The Missouri Department of Natural Resources has recently provided state revolving loan funds to the Missouri Association of Councils of Government that the Northwest Missouri Regional Council of Governments will utilize to assist homeowners making improvements to or replacing their on-site wastewater treatment systems in Atchison, Gentry, Holt, Nodaway and Worth counties.
This program can be used to finance systems approved by each county’s health department and installed by a certified contractor. Depending on eligibility based on income guidelines, the program may fund up to 50% of the project cost through grant and/or loan proceeds. Participants must agree to an ongoing maintenance agreement throughout the term of the loan, attend training on operating the system, and perform periodic inspections.
This program is designed to improve Missouri’s water quality while assisting home owners in making improvements to their property.
