The flags were flown July 2 – 4 in the Fairfax City Park. There was a new flag added this year bringing the total for the Avenue of Flags to 109. The flag was in honor of Duane Rosenbohm, an Army veteran who served in Vietnam. Stan Osburn, commander of the Fairfax Legion, presented the honor guards who then presented the flag to his wife, Kay Rosenbohm. After she attached the flag to the pole, it was raised by his son, Chris, and brother, Dennis. Following that the Legion led in repeating the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
The weather was not favorable to raise all the flags, therefore only the weatherproof flags were flown.
