A visitation was held for Royce Anne (Broermann) Wallace on Monday, July 11, 2016, at Davis Funeral Home in Tarkio. Services were under the direction of Davis Funeral Home. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
Royce Anne, the daughter of Harry and Neva (Alexander) Broermann, was born March 15, 1945, in Shenandoah, Iowa. Royce Anne graduated from Tarkio High School in 1963 and was awarded the “Alumni Of The Year” in 1990. Royce Anne attended nursing school and was later employed by Mutual of Omaha.
On September 21, 1964, Royce Anne was united in marriage to Robert (Bob) Wallace and they became the parents of four children, Kelley, Kevin, Kurt, and Kris.
Royce Anne was a stay-at-home mom until her children were in school. She then was employed for Casey’s for 20 years. She enjoyed traveling to and from sporting events with her children and grandchildren. Royce Anne was involved with the Continental Amateur Baseball Association (CABA) as the Head Score Keeper for 15 years and attended several CABA National meetings. Royce Anne loved to sew. She made baby blankets for all the grandchildren and had started on blankets for the great-grandchildren. Royce Anne passed away July 5, 2016, at a Bellevue, Nebraska, hospital at the age of 71.
Beside her parents, Royce Anne was preceded in death by one brother, Gordon Broermann. Survivors include her husband, Bob Wallace, Shenandoah; children, Kelley (Derrick) Madron and Kevin Wallace, both of Tarkio, Kurt Wallace of Omaha, Nebraska, and Kris (Jeremy) Wise of College Springs, Iowa; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren; brother, Gregg (Elaine) Broermann, Shenandoah; aunts, Wilma Vette, Tarkio, and Dorothy Edwards, Texas; numerous, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too many to name that called her mom, nanny, or grandma.
