Brownville Fine Arts Association invites art enthusiasts to visit the newest shop in town. Long-time Nebraska potter Bill Robbins has re-located New Earth Clay Pottery to Brownville from its long-time location in Fairbury. But he is no stranger to Brownville having set up shop at many a Brownville Flea Market. His work has also been on display from time to time at the Schoolhouse Art Gallery.
Following the tradition of early regional potters, Bill uses a local Nebraska clay to create objects for everyday use, a dense stoneware suitable for the home. Bill also produces wood-fired pots with unique natural ash glazes.
New Earth Clay Pottery is located at 4th and Main Street in Brownville. It is open seasonally from mid-May through November every Saturday from 11am to 5pm or by appointment by calling 402-825-4915. Brownville has long been a mecca of art and artists and we are proud to have yet another addition to that legacy.
