“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”
This verse tells us so much. It is very simple. How can anyone misunderstand? Jesus has never, can never and will never change, period! He is as powerful as ever, He is as loving, as Holy, as Merciful, as full of Grace and as much in control as ever. He is God, He will always be God, He will never change!
How can some people still say they are a Christian but they keep themselves above God! They keep their child or children above God as they smash God!
Malachi 3:6 “For I am the Lord, I change not: therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.”
Revelations 1:8 “ I am Alpha and Omega- the first and the last.”
Matthew 28:18 “And Jesus came and spake to them, saying, all power is given unto me in heaven and earth.”
That covers everything, all the power for everywhere and for everything. He says all the power is given to Him. God the Father gave it to Him. It is God’s will so we know it will never change.
Jesus has the power to create. This is the same power that is working around us. This is the power that makes prayer effective. Jesus’ power is redemptive- He paid the price for us. He is the only way to heaven. He will never lose His power to save.
Jesus’ power is protection-He is still the good shepherd, He will care for the sheep until they get home. Jesus has all the power and He will keep all the promises He has ever made, or will ever make. When God makes a promise He does not have to repeat it. His promises are good forever. He promises salvation through faith in Him, God has promised to supply us, the promise is clear!
Philippians 4:19 Paul tells us “But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus.”
He may or may not maintain your standard of living, but He will meet your needs. When your journey is done you get to heaven and you see the big picture, you will know the Lord never let you down!
Jesus and the woman at the well- He promised a drink of water that would satisfy forever, so why are so many Christians unsatisfied? Why are they always looking for something else? Most Christians think that they have to have things to be satisfied. They have not learned to be happy with Jesus and what He can give. Jesus knows our needs and will take care of the things we really need. We need to ask and we need to put our faith in Him. Jesus will not change! He has promised to sustain us. He does this through Grace.
All the trials Paul went through, God did not take away Paul’s burdens, He gave him grace to carry the burden! Please know, no matter what you have to face in life, you can face it with Jesus, he will always be there!
Matthew 28:20 Jesus says “Teaching them to observe all things what so ever I have commanded you: and lo I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” He will use every trail and valley for your good! Jesus will not change. He is Lord and the best you and I can do is live like we know it and honor it. The world around us is always changing things in our lives, daily something changes. Don’t you find comfort in knowing God our Father, our Saviour, our Holy Spirit will never change? Never not one little bit!
Oh Lord! We thank you that Your change will never change! Your promises are forever! Thank you in the Name of Jesus! AMEN
