The East Atchison Wolves Football Team traveled to Burlington Junction, Missouri, to compete against NorthWest Nodaway on Friday, August 26, 2016. The players once again had to play through wet weather, but the Wolves didn’t let that slow them down and they took home the win with a score of 34-26.
Gage McAdams had 35 carries for a total of 162 yards and he scored two touchdowns. Shae DeRosier had 15 carries for a total of 45 yards and he scored two touchdowns. Jake McEnaney had 56 passing yards and one touchdown and 13 carries for a total of 61 yards. Garrett Meyer received three passes for a total of 56 yards and scored one touchdown. The Wolves had 324 yards (passing – 56 and rushing – 268).
Gage McAdams led the Wolves in tackles with 11 and three sacks. Garrett Meyer had 10 tackles and two fumble recoveries. Shane Wallace had six tackles and one sack. Shae DeRosier had three tackles and two sacks. Andrew Gibbons had three tackles and one sack. Jake McEnaney had three tackles and one fumble recovery. Gus Hurst had two tackles and one sack.
The Wolves will play their homecoming game against DeKalb this Friday in Fairfax beginning at 7 p.m.
