The junior high volleyball teams competed in the West Nodaway Volleyball Tournament Saturday, September 10. The orange team took second place and the black team took fifth place.
ORANGE TEAM
The orange team defeated Nodaway-Holt 25-1 and 25-6 in their first match. Statistics for the Lady Wolves are: Autumn Murry – 18 aces, 1 kill, 1 assist; Olivia Morris – 9 aces; Brynnan Poppa – 2 kills, 1 dig, 1 assist; Alli Yates – 1 assist.
The orange team then played the Maryville seventh grade team, winning 25-15 and 25-11. Statistics for the Lady Wolves are: Autumn Murry – 7 aces, 1 kill, 3 assists; Olivia Morris – 2 aces; Brynnan Poppa – 4 aces, 2 kills, 1 dig, 2 assists; Ella Rolf – 1 ace, 1 kill; Cheyenne Gray – 1 ace, 1 kill; Sophia Martin – 1 ace.
The orange team was defeated by the Maryville eighth grade team 12-25 and 23-25, earning second place in the tournament. BLACK TEAM
The black team was defeated 9-25 and 10-25 by the Maryville eighth grade team in their first game. Statistics for the Lady Wolves are: Haley Garrison – 1 ace, 5 digs; Olivia Morris – 1 kill, 1 dig; Stormy Nordhausen – 1 dig; Morgan Shaw – 1 dig; Raegan Crowley – 2 digs; Hayley Palmer – 1 dig.
The black team then played St. Gregory, winning the first game 25-7. They lost the second 13-25, but came back to win the third 15-12. Statistics for the Lady Wolves are: Haley Garrison – 1 ace, 2 digs; Olivia Morris – 3 aces; Stormy Nordhausen – 1 ace, 4 digs; Morgan Shaw – 3 aces, 1 dig; Raegan Crowley – 6 aces, 1 kill; Hayley Palmer – 3 aces; Sophia Martin – 1 dig.
The black team’s final match was against West Nodaway. The Lady Wolves won their first game 25-12, lost the second 23-25, and won the third 15-12, earning fifth place in the tournament.
