River Bradbury, 20, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Craig, Missouri, on September 1, 2016.
River was born April 24, 1996, in Fairfax, Missouri. He was the youngest son of James and Rebecca (Wilson) Bradbury. He lived in Fairfax and attended school there until 2010, when he and his mother moved to Nebraska. River attended high school in Bennington, Nebraska, graduating there in 2014.
In 2015 he moved to Craig, and he had recently been employed at McDonald’s restaurant in Mound City, Missouri. River enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and he especially enjoyed playing video games.
River is survived by his father, Jim Bradbury of Craig; his mother, Rebecca and husband Bradley Thorngren of Bennington, Nebraska; brothers: Jim Bradbury II and wife Makala of Craig, Jacob Bradbury and wife Jody of Fairfax, and Tanner Thorngren of Elkhorn, Nebraska; sister, McKenna Thorngren; and his maternal grandparents, Henry and Toni Wilson of St. Joseph, Missouri. River is also survived by three nephews of whom he was very fond: Ryan, Dominic, and Xavier Bradbury, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Rex and Donna Bradbury.
Funeral services were held September 6, 2016, at the United Methodist Church in Fairfax, conducted by Rev. David Wynn. Interment was at Milton Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the River Bradbury Memorial Fund in care of Schooler Funeral Home, P.O. Box 139, Fairfax, MO 64446, to help with funeral expenses. Services were under the direction of Schooler Funeral Home, Fairfax.
