The Brownville Concert Series is thrilled to welcome back Broadway star, Christine Andreas. When Christine takes the stage, it lights up! Christine brings her new show “be-Mused” to delight you. Christine will perform in cabaret Friday and Saturday, October 7th and 8th at 7:30 p.m. and in concert Sunday, October 9th at 2:00 p.m. We give special thanks to; Engles Agency, John & Karla Marburger, and Marian Anderson for helping to sponsor these concerts.
CHRISTINE ANDREAS in her show, “be-Mused” at NY hotspot, 54 Below, has the NY Times accusing her of ‘electrifying her audiences and showering them with ‘pure alchemy’. “Be-Mused” has garnered enough superlatives to keep the singer touring the US and Europe.
Ms. Andreas first captured New York City theatre-goer’s hearts in the 20th anniversary production of MY FAIR LADY as Eliza Doolittle (Theatre World Award); followed by the revival of OKLAHOMA!, as Laurey, working with Billy Hammerstein & Agnes deMillle (Tony Nomination); and ON YOUR TOES, as Frankie Frayne, directed by the legendary director George Abbott, (Tony Nomination). She last appeared on Broadway as Jacqueline in the Tony/Olivier Award winning production of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES with Kelsey Grammer and Douglas Hodge, after starring as Margaret Johnson in the much-acclaimed National tour of THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA.
Christine’s Television credits include: Law & Order: SVU, The Cosby Show, PBS’ Musical Comedy Tonight, Taylor Benson in Another World, and as Ava Gardner in Fox’s mini-series, Mia, Child of Hollywood.
Collaboration with composer Martin Silvestri and writer Joel Higgins lead to her West End debut starring in their musical THE FIELDS OF AMBROSIA at the Aldwych Theatre in London followed by concerts with Marty in London, Paris, Rome, Australia and The White House.
She has sung in concert in Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Town Hall, the Kennedy Center Jazz Festival and the Caramoor Festival to name a few. Symphonic work includes the Boston Philharmonic with Ben Zander, the Tulsa Symphony with Peter Nero, the Detroit Symphony, the Richmond Symphony with Charles Strouse, the Palm Beach Pops, and The Silicon Valley Symphony.
