Area girls’ golf teams traveled to Albany, Missouri, to compete in a Best Shot Tournament on Monday, September 12, 2016. The girls both hit but were able to take the better shot between the two. Through this tournament, the girls were able to work together and discuss their game.
Eleven teams competed in the event.
East Atchison’s Bree Barnett golfed with a King City player and they placed 2nd with an individual score of 80. Chloe Bruns and Kaely Kirwan placed 7th with a 91. Lauren Quimby and Jae Barnett placed 8th with a 92.
Rock Port’s Ally Demott and Riley Vogler placed 11th with a score of 94. Melanie Wilson and Gretchen Tharp placed 15th with a score of 100. Payton Schomburg played with an Albany golfer receiving a score of 137 and 24th place.
Rock Port placed 5th out of 8 teams.
