On Wednesday, September 21, 2016 the Rock Port Board of Aldermen held their regular meeting. Mayor Pro Tem Todd Stevens presented Chief of Police Shannon Sherwood a plaque for 10 years of dedicated service to the City of Rock Port.
Sherwood was hired as a Police Officer on August 31, 2006 and served as a Police Officer for the Rock Port Police Department from until December 14, 2011. Sherwood was appointed as the Interim Chief of Police on December 14, 2011 and served as Interim Chief of Police until being appointed Chief of Police on March 1, 2012.
