Director Antoine Fuqua brings his vision to a classic story in The Magnificent Seven.
The homesteader town of Rose Creek finds itself being taken over by Bartholomew Bogue, played by Peter Sarsgaard, an evil man who wants the mining industry all to himself.
The the desperate townspeople, rallied by Emma Cullen – the lovely Haley Bennet hire seven outlaws to save their town. Enter Chism – none other than Denzel Washington. Fuque insisted HIS magnificent seven include multiple races – and the result is fantastic. Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke, Martin Sensmeier, Vincent D’Onfrio, Manuel Garcia Rulfo and Young Hun Lee round out this band of outlaws who prepare the town for the violent showdown that they know is coming.
The score alone is enough to make you want this movie to last forever.
