Steve Sutton, left – Development Officer, and Scott Nielson, Associate Athletic Director from NWMSU, were the guest speakers at the Tuesday, September 27, meeting of the Tarkio Rotary Club. Scott shared that there are 450 student athletes this year at NWMSU. The student athletes average a 3.25 GPA, perform 1,000 hours of community service during the year, have 5 MIAA Team Titles, 3 MIAA Coach of the Year honors and 6 MIAA Players of the Year. They have won a national title and have made NCAA appearances. Steve shared with the Rotarians about the plans for a multipurpose complex that will be built on campus starting in 2017.
