The Fairfax Kiwanis Club is collecting discarded batteries from cars, trucks, tractors, combines, and lawn mowers as a way to raise funds to send youth to various educational forums, provide donations for youth activities, and make improvements for Fairfax, etc. Anyone wishing to donate old batteries may drop them off at the collection site just behind the old City Hall in Fairfax by Friday, October 14.
