Atchison County MOPS- Atchison County MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) will meet Tuesday, October 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Tarkio. All mothers of children ages birth through kindergarten are welcome. During October’s meeting, Sheriff Dennis Martin will be presenting a program “Just Pay Attention.” Free childcare and breakfast for the moms is provided. Please come and enjoy some great fellowship. The Liberty Theatre presents “White Christmas”- The Liberty Theatre in Rock Port, Missouri, will be presenting “White Christmas” December 16-18, 2016. The musical will take place Friday, December 16, at 7 p.m., Saturday, December 17, at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday, December 18, at 2:30 p.m. Liberty Theatre is located inside the Atchison County Memorial Building on Main Street in Rock Port. White Christmas is a musical based on the Paramount Pictures 1954 film of the same name starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosmary Clooney and Vera- Ellen. The libretto is by David Ives and Paul Blake, with music and lyrics by Irving Berlin. White Christmas will be directed by Devon Sons.

Tarkio Rotary fundraiser- The Tarkio Rotary Club is holding a barbecue fundraiser through October to earn money for club projects, including a project to purchase shades for the Tarkio Municipal Pool.
The Tarkio Rotarians are hosting barbecues every Saturday through October 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hy-Vee in Tarkio. Stop by the store and pick up a scrumptious lunch!
