The Good Samaritan Society – Auburn is joining Good Samaritan Society locations across the nation in celebrating the founding of The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society.
The Good Samaritan Society –Auburn will start their work on the Founders Day Service Project on Friday, November 4th, 2016 at 8:00 am to commemorate Founder’s Day. The project will be a community based service that benefit persons in the community who at are at high risk of falls. It is wonderful way to turn our celebration outwards to support the seniors in our community. We have partnered up with Auburn High school FBLA, PSC Rotoract Club, and Phi Beta Lambda from Peru to provide fall prevention services to 30 recipients around our community. A $1000.00 dollar grant was awarded to our location by the Good Samaritan Society. On Founder’s Day we honor our organization’s rich history, but we also honor and celebrate with our staff members and the people we serve.
The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society is a not-for-profit organization that owns and operates more than 240 long-term care centers, health care agencies and retirement living centers across the country. The Society’s mission is to share God’s love in word and deed by providing shelter and supportive services to older persons and others in need, believing that “In Christ’s Love, Everyone Is Someone.”
