Norman Simmons is pictured above at Simmons MFA Service, holding a piece of Fairfax history. The sign is from Peck Service Station. E.R. Peck was the original owner of the station now owned by Ted and Bud Simmons. The Moore brothers, Jake and Charlie, purchased the station in 1943, so the sign is well over 70 years old. The sign was recently found in a shed by Randy Baker, who lives west of Fairfax, Missouri. He brought it to Simmons MFA, and it now resides on a shelf along with other memorabilia.
