The Tarkio Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Halloween Parade for youth on Monday, October 31, with registration beginning in the Farmers State Bank parking lot at 3:30 p.m. The ghosts, goblins, and creatures will parade down Main Street and end at the U.S. Bank park at 3rd and Main. If there is inclement weather, the parade will take place at the Tarkio Community Building.
Tarkio residents and businesses who would like to donate candy for the goody bags are asked to take their donations to U.S. Bank by Thursday, October 27, 2016. The candy does not have to be Halloween themed.
The Tarkio Nutrition Center, 412 Main St., is hosting a chili supper following the parade from 4 to 7 p.m. Free will donations will be accepted for a delicious chili, hot dog, and homemade cinnamon roll meal. There will also be treats for the trick-or-treaters.
