In their first year as a co-oped team, the East Atchison Lady Wolves’ Volleyball Team earned 2nd place in the Class 1, District 16 Volleyball Tournament. The tournament was held October 17 and 19, 2016, at Rock Port R-II School in Rock Port, Missouri.
The Lady Wolves competed against the St. Joseph Christian team in their first game Monday, October 17, 2016. The Lady Wolves won the match in two sets, 25-14 and 25-9. The Lady Wolves’ next opponent was Mound City on Wednesday, October 19. The Lady Panthers won the first set 23-25, but the Lady Wolves won the next two, 25-15 and 25-17. The win over Mound City moved the Lady Wolves to the championship game against Rock Port’s Lady Blue Jays. Rock Port won the match in two sets, 10-25 and 13-25. The varsity Lady Wolves ended their season with a record of 22-10 overall and 4-1 in conference play.
