The Fairfax R-3 School recently learned it received a 100% on its Annual Performance Report for the third consecutive year. To celebrate, Dr. Michael Garrett, Fairfax R-3 School Superintendent, treated the teachers to a surprise ice cream social on Wednesday, October 26.
He asked everyone meet in the cafeteria, then they boarded a school bus for a quick trip to the Fairfax City Park. Some of the teachers were worried and concerned until Dr. Garrett thanked them for all of their hard work and told them he wanted to get them out of the building for a little fun.
Dr. Garrett said, “They are a great bunch who work tirelessly to help make sure all students learn to their potential.” He was assisted by members of the Fairfax Kiwanis Club.
