The October 20, 2016 meeting of the Community Hospital Auxiliary opened with 16 members present, reciting the Opening Prayer.
Roger Steinkruger was introduced and gave the administrative report.
The minutes of the September meeting were read and approved.
The treasurer’s report was read and approved.
There are many new items in our Gift Shop; including soups, dips, children’s costume vests, stuffed animals and many more great gift items.
The Auxiliary is always looking for creative and caring people to join our organization. The Membership Committee has asked members to be thinking about ideas for a Membership Drive. We welcome anyone interested in finding out more about what we do, to join us on Thursday, November 17 at 1:30 p.m. in the Hospital Conference room for our next meeting.
It was decided to have our quilt that is raffled off each year ready earlier and have it displayed at many of our fund raising events. You can look for it at our chili supper in February, the Celebrity Waiter Dinner, etc. By purchasing chances earlier and more often, you can increase your chance of winning the beautiful quilt at the Fairfax Fair in August!
Our group has voted to purchase sweatshirts and sweatpants to have for patient use in the ER. Often times a patient may be in need of them and they may not be readily available. We will also be asking area stores for donations.

The Fall Bake Sale will be Tuesday, November 22 from 6:30 – 3 p.m.
The Poinsettia Sale is scheduled for Dec. 1st from 6:30 – 3 p.m.
Both of these events will be held in the Hospital Conference Room. Look for our fliers in various businesses in our surrounding area.
Our Chili Supper will be on Feb. 14, Valentines Day from 4-7 p.m. in the Fairfax School Cafeteria. We will begin serving at 4:30 p.m.
Our next meeting will be Thursday, November 17 at 1:30 p.m.
