The East Atchison Jr. High Basketball Teams traveled to South Holt to compete on Monday, November 7, 2016.
The Lady Wolves came home with the win, defeating the Lady Knights 54-24. Morgan Parshall had a great game, scoring 24 (one free throw and three three-pointers) of the Lady Wolves’ 54 points. Mercedes Parshall added 13 points (three three-pointers), Chey­enne Gray added seven (three free throws), Brynnan Poppa added four, Bryli Staten added three (one free throw), Jayden Van Zant added two points, and Olivia Morris added one point (one free throw).
The Wolves also came home with the win, defeating the Knights 36-30. Ian Hedlund had a fantastic game, scoring 25 of the Wolves’ 36 points. Kaden Cooper added six points to the Wolves’ score, as did Carter Holecek with three and Jordan Graf with two. Coach Robbie Bates commented, “We played well enough to win. We will continue to learn and get better.”
