The Watson Quilters met Thursday with Teresa & Jim Hickok, Donna Whelan, Fran Phillips, Linda Viets, Anita Armstrong, Frances Nahkunst, Holly Holmes, and Kay Gibson attending. We finished up two soldier quilts and measured some t-shirts that we received to make a quilt, figuring what was the best size to make the blocks. Our Christmas party will be the 15th of December, beginning at 5 p.m. We will just have snack foods, then our “Ornery Santa” gift exchange.
CHICKEN SNACKS
My chickens are laying pretty good right now, but I’m thinking this shot of winter weather coming this week may change that. We are trying to winterize the chicken house a little. Meanwhile here’s how my chickens react to their chicken snacks.
When I feed my chickens popcorn, the eggs pop right out.
When I feed my chickens ice cream, the eggs are frosty.
When I feed my chickens shrimp shells they lay small eggs.
When I feed my chickens potatoes, the eggs really sprout.
When I feed my chickens squash, the eggs are soft.
When I feed my chickens potato chips, the eggs are crisp.
When I feed my chickens onions, the eggs are bloomin’
When I feed my chickens grass, the eggs are hidden.
When I feed my chickens M & M’s, the eggs melt in your mouth, not in your hands.
When I feed my chickens Rice Krispies, the eggs snap, crackle and pop.
