The Watson Quilters met Thursday night, and the cold weather must have scared some of them off cause the only ones attending were Linda Viets, Tammy Oakes, Anita Armstrong, Holly Holmes, and Kay Gibson. We did however accomplish a little. We got all the blocks cut for the t-shirt quilt. Now to set it together. However, this Thursday will be our Christmas Party, so no work will get done that night. We will have some snack foods, then our “Ornery Santa” exchange. It will begin about 5 pm and it’s guaranteed to be fun.
Santa Claus will come to Watson this Saturday, December 17 at 1:30 p.m. He will arrive in the fire truck, so all you good little girls and boys come see him. That evening of the 17, the Christmas decorating contest will be judged, so all you Watsonites, get those lights on. First place is $100, second place is $75, third place is $50, and honorable mention is $25.
COLOR ANYONE?
I was looking for some art supplies for a Christmas present, when I ran across all these adult coloring books. Have you bought one…. Yet?
I understand that all you adults who color (in your very own book) have all your stress and worries subsided.
Color me different, but it won’t work for me. I will have to confess, I never could stay in the lines when coloring. When your four year old great granddaughter says, “Granny, you are getting out of the lines,” then that’s stress.
So, no, I won’t be buying an adult coloring book and please don’t get me one for Christmas.
I will have to come up with some other way to relieve my stress. Oh, wait, I think writing this just did it.
