Judith Ann Brown, Fairfax, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly at her home on December 12, 2016, at the age of 74 years, five months, and 17 days.
Judy was born June 25, 1942, in Hamburg, Iowa, to Robert and Ruby (Bridgford) Howell. After the ending of World War II, the family moved to a farm near Tarkio, Missouri.
Judy attended rural school and also attended high school in Tarkio where she met her future husband, Larry Brown. They were married on October 8, 1958. They lived their entire married life in the Tarkio and Fairfax communities. Judy was a homemaker and also worked as a home health caregiver. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Judy also enjoyed traveling and attending yard sales. One of her specialties was making and distributing Christmas candy – lots of candy. This was a yearly task which she enjoyed.
Survivors include: husband Larry of the home; sons, Allen (Dawn) Brown, Rock Port, Missouri, Randy (Christa) Brown, and Larry E. (Tammy) Brown, both of Fairfax; daughters, Theresa McCoy, Marsha (Toney) Fichter, Bambi (Aaron) Sim­mons and Kelly (Billy) Daugherty, all of Fairfax; one brother, Ernie (Linda) Howell, Tarkio; 28 grandchildren: Talaina Reed, Gol­die Davis, Chris (Amber) Brown, Micah Davis, Megan Rodriguez, Lacey Brown, Trace Lawson, Ruby Brown, Tylar Brown, ReAnna Brown, Caden Brown, Randell (Morgan) Brown, Jonathan Brown, Cayla Brown, Akasha Henry, Stephanie Zastrow, Amber Tackett, Bob­by Harvey Jr., Amber Watkins, Ashley Brown, Tara Henning, James Driskell, Kamden Poppa, Hannah Brown, Gage Crowley, Raegan Crowley, Chloe Potts, Kinley Thornhill, Rylie Simmons, and Paisleigh Daugherty; 25 great-grandchildren: Lexi, Levi and Nora Brown, Joselynn Rodriguez, Elissa Kendall, Aubrinna and Brittany Brown, Logan McClain, Neaveh Wooten, Brayton Zastrow, Skyla Harvey, Zaylan and Brian Tackett, Clayton and Michael Harvey, Chaos Powers, Raven Turner, Faylynn Graham, Deondre Hughes, Tyzjuan Kirkland, Lataveon Brown, Alex and Mathew Driskell, and Mason and Adaline Davis.
Services were held Friday, December 16, 2016, at the Fairfax Baptist Church, conducted by Pastor Andy Braams. Interment was at the Tarkio Home Cemetery, Tarkio. Memorials may be directed to the Brown family to help defray funeral expenses. Services were under the direction of Schooler Funeral Home, Fairfax.
