Honorable Katherine Hammack presented Scott Chamberlain with a certificate of his recent promotion.

Mr. Scott Chamberlain was recently promoted to Chief, Capital Ventures Directorate, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Installations, Energy and Environment located in the Pentagon, Washington, DC. In his new position, Mr. Chamberlain is responsible for policy and oversight of all Army housing and lodging within the United States, Europe and Asia with a worldwide inventory of over 100,000 single Family homes, over 400,000 Soldier barracks rooms and 12,000 official travel and leisure lodging rooms.
Scott has worked as the Deputy Director for the Capital Ventures Directorate since 2009. Prior to coming to the Capital Ventures Directorate, Scott served as the Chief of the Congressional Affairs Division, Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Installation Management and Installation Management Command with responsibility to ensure necessary authorizations for all Army Military Construction, Family Housing, Base Realignment and Closure, Environmental and Base Operations, Sustainment, Restoration, and Support programs were requested, presented, and defended before Congress.
Mr. Chamberlain served from 1983 to 2005 in the US Army as a Combat Engineer with assignments including Washington, DC; Germany; Bosnia; Virginia, Missouri, Kansas and Rhode Island. The son of Greg and Betty Chamberlain, Scott is a 1976 graduate of Rock Port High School and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Missouri State University as well as a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies, United States Naval War College, Newport, RI; a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from The George Washington University, Washington D.C.; and a Master of Business Administration and Management from Webster University, Saint Louis, Missouri. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, KS and the United States Naval War College, Newport, RI.
