ATCHISON COUNTY – Sheriff Dennis Martin was the guest speaker at the Tuesday, December 20, 2016, meeting of the Tarkio Rotary Club. He shared with the Rotarians that there will soon be new body cameras for county law enforcement personnel, along with the cameras in patrol cars that not only record the inside activity of the law enforcement vehicle, but the vision from the vehicle. He reported enhanced security is in place at the courthouse with additional security measures coming soon at that county facility. He shared that D.A.R.E. has expanded a little this year to include more students.
