After 14 years as the field agent for Atchison County, Eric Abbott has accepted a District Supervisor position with the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC).
Abbott’s new position will consist of supervising the six field agents of Holt, Atchison, Gentry, Nodaway, Mercer and Harrison Counties. Agent Abbott has also been enlisted to teach at the Conservation Firearms Training Facility in Jefferson City, Mo.
Eric Abbott has a total of 21 years with the MDC.
Abbott said, “I am looking forward to advising/training field agents to uphold the quality enforcement program expected from the Missouri Department of Conservation.”
At this time Atchison County will not be receiving a new full time field agent. The county will be covered by the two MDC agents out of Holt County.
