Hogie’s Gun & Sport in Auburn, Nebraska has been serving locals near and far for the past thirty-six years with this year becoming thirty-seven years in business.
Glenn Hogue, owner of Hogie’s Gun & Sport and hunting enthusiast, has decided that it’s time to liquidate items storewide and retire. When asked why he started this business Glenn said, “ It’s always been something I liked. I enjoyed the hunting, fishing and sporting business and decided that it was something that I just wanted to do. I have hunted and fished all my life.”
A storewide liquidation sale is taking place now until September. Glenn said that the store will stay open for at least the next 6 months to liquidate firearms and other various items that are currently in stock.
After the sale is over and the store is closed, Glenn plans to enjoy his retirement.
“One of the big things I haven’t had the opportunity to do is to take a couple hunting and fishing trips.”
Another plan is to also travel to see family that is spread across the United States. Even though he will be retiring and leaving the business he has known and loved for the past thirty-six years, he claimed that he has no plans on slowing down any time soon.
