Psalms 23:1-6
“The Lord is my shepherd:I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He lead me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.”
Bow our heads. God we Pray that you help us to free ourselves of fear. All of our fears, our fear of our past sins our fear of the future. It is trust that sets us free. Your trust God, the truth. You teach us from Your word, the Bible. We Pray in the name of Jesus AMEN!
The Old Testament is full of examples of how we are to live. You see people who won, and you see people who lost. We see Moses bring the Israel’s out of Egypt!
#1. Never be afraid of your enemy-no matter how strong they seem to be. David faced Goliath-David said I will not be afraid.
The Devil works thru fear-the devil wants us to fear our past. The devil tries to control us with fear. Do not be afraid, do not fear your sin, it’s not our battle anyhow. God will handle it. Don’t let the devil whisper in your ear ,this is too big for you, you should quit.
Jesus sent His only Son to shed His blood for sin, for you and for me. Believe in Jesus and have faith. I fear no evil because God is with me.
#2 God is always with us-Always-when we are good-God is with us-when the devil temps us-when the devil is telling us lies-when bad things happen to us-God is with us-God never says you go on I’ll wait here for you-NO- God is always with us. We can not do it alone. We can always handle our fears with God. The Power is of God. Prayers are an important part of the love and the power of God!
#3 Deliverance might come little by little. Some Christians lose faith because deliverance didn’t come all at once. They want it and they want it right now and if they don’t get it right now, they give up.
Deuteronomy charter 7:22 “And the Lord thy God will put out those nations before thee little by little thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beast of the field increase upon thee.” These nations represent sin-deep seeded sins. The Bible tells us deliverance comes little by little. Some people do get total deliverance instantly they except Jesus and everything changes right then-but some people receive little by little-it can take years. Whether your deliverance is instant or it is little by little you must have faith in the Lord-lean on Him.
Oh God we ask for your promise in Your Holy Word. We ask freedom from fear, from our past and from all evil. God we give You our battles. We will fear no evil. We pray in the name of Jesus! AMEN
