The annual Chili Cookoff & Cinnamon Roll/Sticky Bun Throw Down is coming to the United Methodist Church in Tarkio, Mo., this Sunday, February 12. The time is 5 p.m. at the fellowship hall of the church building located at 201 North 6th Street in Tarkio. Everyone is welcome to either compete or just attend to enjoy tasting and judging delicious chilis, soups and cinnamon rolls.
There are two categories for entries, an adult category and a youth (preschool through grade 12) category. There will be first, second and third place prizes awarded in each category for Best Chili; Best Soup; and Best Cinnamon Roll/Sticky Bun. Any individual may enter or teams of up to three people may enter.
For those who do not wish to compete, simply attend to taste test the entries and place votes for the best. Guests may also bring side dishes to complement the chilis and soups like crackers, cheese, corn bread, etc.; however guests may also attend to judge without bringing anything to this free fellowship event.
