Tarkio R-I Kindergartners celebrated the 100th day of school Tuesday, January 31, 2017. The students enjoyed participating in different activities for 100 seconds, like jumping up and down 103 times. They also did 23 jumping jacks, 15 sit-ups, wrote their names seven times, wrote 31 sight words, wrote letters from A to Z, counted to 103, wrote numbers from 0 to 32, and wrote the number 100 31 times.

Spotlight Mame Dow- Mame Dow is a 4 year old attending Kids’ Korner this year. She is the daughter of Tommy and Blu Dow. Her favorite color is purple and her favorite food is corn. Mame loves “Pete the Cat” books. She also loves the Cupcake dance video. Her favorite part of preschool is centers, especially the house center! Her favorite thing about Tarkio is the swimming pool! She loves going with her mommy and going down the slide with her floaties on.
Spotlight Bryar Wennihan- Bryar Wennihan is a 4 year old attending Kids’ Korner this year. He is the son of Brett and Dara Wennihan. His favorite color is blue and his favorite food is sausage pizza. His favorite book right now is “Little Bears Football”. If you want to see his eyes light up all you need is “What Does the Fox Say?” to play on the radio. He loves the dance videos from GoNoodle during indoor recess. His favorite thing about Tarkio is the swimming pool and the slide! Hurry up summer!
Kids’ Korner Preschool students celebrated the 100th day of school at Tarkio R-I Tuesday, January 31, 2017. The kids each brought 100 snacks to pour into one large snack bowl. Seven students wore personalized shirts with 100 items on them. The students also enjoyed doing things for 100 seconds, like jumping, being quiet in the dark, making cots, standing on one leg, and stomping.
They also answered the statement: “If I have been told once, I have been told 100 times…”: Brynna – “To clean up,” Lyla – “No, no, no,” Kenisyn – “No,” Mame – “I love you,” Landon – “To clean up my room,” Harper – “To get my jammies on,” Lincoln – “Do you want to go to Wal-Mart,” Tucker – “To clean up my toys and play,” Landry – “To come upstairs,” Grayclyn – “To come into the living room,” Quad – “To fold the laundry,” Luciana – “Let’s go to Dad’s work,” Bryar – “To play games,” Katherine – “To listen,” Jackson – “So cool,” Treyven – “To pick up corn,” Katie – “To share my toys with my parents,” Vera – “To paint correctly,” Mikayla – “To get a different toy,” and Jenna – “I love you, too (Granny).”
