Ten Fairfax FCCLA members had a gold sweep at regionals and advanced to state competition, which will be held in March. Advancing to state were Amber Lewis, Kaylyn Sly, Shelby Zirfas, Chelsea Miller, Kelsey Sly, Katrina Chastain, Kourtney Sly, Tiffani Burke, Katheryn Long, and Jessica Stout.
The Fairfax FFA Chapter held a petting zoo on February 23. There were all kinds of animals including a lamb, goats, a calf, dog, cat, rabbit, and a snake.
Graham Scarbrough of Fairfax won the Atchison County Spelling Bee. Second place went to Andrew Sloop of Tarkio.

February 20, 1992
The Fairfax Lady Bulldogs recorded their 22nd straight win by defeating Mound City.
Fairfax Homecoming King and Queen were crowned February 21. They are Jon Graves, king, and Marisa Smith, queen.

February 23, 1967
Fairfax Freshmen attended County Government Day at the courthouse in Rock Port February 16. Attending were Nora Farley, Jane Schooler, Lane Seymour, Nancy Jones, Steve Bargman, Kathy Dearmont, Teddy Simmons, Shirley Umbarger, Dewayne Gorman, Debbie Shaw, Mike Whittington, Bob Brandon, Jack Graves, Suzanne Davis, David Dunn, Mark Mitchell, Susan Swan and Steven Ohlensehlen, along with sponsor Mr. Dave Palmeiro.
With a win of 57-55, Fairfax Bulldogs won the Regional title and moved on to state competition in basketball. This is the first team of regional champions produced by Fairfax since 1947.
