Tarkio College Alumni Association has received a Certificate of Occupancy for the main floor of Thompson Learning Center. This major achievement now allows the Missouri Department of Higher Education to come and complete their final certification process for Tarkio College. It is anticipated that this inspection will occur in mid-to-late March 2017.
The certification process includes staff from the Department of Higher Education, along with two state consultants, who are usually high level executive with other colleges in Missouri. Within 30 to 90 days a final report is generated and certification is granted. This allows enough time for Tarkio College to finalize employment of instructors and market to potential students for a September 2017 opening.
Tarkio College and the Alumni Association want to thank the community for their generous support and dedicated volunteerism. The revitalization of Tarkio College has truly been a community effort.
