Casey DuPree, Director of the area Boy Scouts, was the guest speaker at
the noon meeting of the Tarkio Rotary Club on Tuesday, February 21. He shared that 2016 was the 100th anniversary of the Pony Express Council. The council is comprised of 18 counties in north Missouri and three counties in Kansas. In 2016, there were 2.036 Cub Scouts in the council and 1,113 Boy Scouts. A total of 81 Scouts earned Eagle Scout status, which is scouting’s highest honor. (Submitted By Anita Sutter)
