Kenneth L. “Kenny” Price, age 76, of Burlington Junction, Missouri, formerly of the Watson, Missouri/Hamburg, Iowa, area, passed away at his home on Saturday, June 3, 2017. Kenny was born on August 1, 1940, in Watson, the son of Cecil Raymond and Mamie Ella (Wooten) Price. He was one of 13 children in the family.
Kenny was united in marriage to Brenda M. Perry on July 15, 1960, at rural Hamburg and they shared nearly 57 years of their lives together. Kenny was a life-long farmer, a job that he dearly loved. He also had worked at various companies including Interstate Nurseries in Hamburg, for Farmer Brothers Coffee and Pepsi in Flagstaff, Arizona, and at Missouri Beef in Phelps City, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Price, of Burlington Junction; his children, Cindy Petersen and husband, Jay, of Monument, Colorado, Kelly Price and wife, Melissa, of Barnard, Missouri, Darren Price and wife, Nicole, of Tarkio, Missouri, and Shawn Price and wife, Kathleen, of Burlington Junction; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Norma Cummings and husband, Chuck, of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Judy Hatfield and husband, Noel, of Hamburg; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Price and Rosalie Price, both of Lincoln, and Judy Price of Shenandoah, Iowa; brother-in-law DeWayne Nesiba of Nebraska City, Nebraska; and other family and many friends.
Kenny was preceded in death by four sisters, Darlene Nesiba, Carlene Roberts, Dorothy Austin, and Frances Cayton; and six brothers, Raymond, Marvin, Larry, James, Melvin, and Robert Price; as well as his parents.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at Rash-Gude Funeral Home in Hamburg, with Pastor Tom Beutler officiating. Burial will follow in the High Creek Cemetery near Watson. The family will greet friends Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the service time at Rash-Gude Funeral Home.
