Andrea E. Moffatt, 34, of Omaha, Nebraska, sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident Monday, July 17, 2017. The accident occurred at 12:05 a.m. on I-29, three miles north of Rock Port, Missouri.
Moffatt was southbound, driving a 2010 Hyundai Accent. The vehicle travelled off the west side of the roadway, impacted the ditch, overturned and came to rest on its top facing north.
Moffatt , who was wearing her seat belt, was transported to Community Hospital-Fairfax by the Atchison-Holt Ambulance District.
The vehicle was totaled in the accident and towed by Double M of Rock Port.
Tpr. J.W. Cotter, investigating officer, was assisted by the Atchison County Sheriff’s Department.
Moffatt was later taken into custody on a felony charge of driving while intoxicated – drugs, and careless and imprudent driving resulting in an accident. She was booked into the Atchison County Jail on a 24-hour hold.
