Harold G. (Tuffy) Beasing, the son of Don and Hazel (Leseberg) Beasing, was born October 22, 1943, in Rock Port, Missouri.  At the age of 16, he lived with his grandparents, Woody and Greta Sickler, who helped raise him and were a great influence in his life.  Harold attended Rock Port High School, graduating in 1961.  At an early age, Harold was employed on the Leseberg family farm and then drove a truck for his uncle, Clyde Welch.
On December 7, 1963, Harold was united in marriage to his soulmate, Edie Welch.  They shared 53 1/2 wonderful years of marriage.  On April 25, 1968, Harold entered the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.  He received his honorable discharge January 25, 1970.
In 1972, Harold was employed as an auto transport truck driver for 27 years, retiring in 1999 due to health reasons.  On April 8, 1986, Harold received his pilot’s license.  Flying was one of his favorite pastimes, but he was grounded in 1994, after a diagnosed brain aneurysm.  Harold passed away Monday, August 7, 2017, at University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska, due to a massive stroke, at the age of 73.  He was a wonderful uncle to his nieces and nephews and enjoyed taking them camping and on vacations.  Graveside service and interment were held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 11, 2017, in Hunter Cemetery, Rock Port, Missouri, with full military rites under the auspices of Ralph Greer American Legion Post #49, Rock Port.  The service was conducted by Pastor Tom Beutler.
Harold was preceded in death by his father, Don; grandparents, Woody and Greta Sickler; beloved nephew, Kerry Beasing; stepfather, Floyd Luellen; and father and mother-in-law, Hersal and Beulah Welch.  Survivors include wife, Edie Beasing; mother, Hazel Beasing; brothers, Bob (Liza) Beasing and Reed Beasing and his daughter, Kylie, all of Rock Port; nephews and nieces, Marla Hampe, and her daughters, Jade, Brooke and Ava, Urbandale, Iowa, Bill (Timbre) Howell, and his children, Nick (Shadie) Howell and soon to be born, Bradley Grace, Rock Port, and Katie (Tyler) Romines and their daughter, Zoey Ann, Tarkio, Missouri, Tony Howell, Clint (Stacy) Hughes, and their sons, Jase and Kyler, Rock Port, Lori (Angelo) Erickson, and their sons, Alex and Aiden, Lisa (Chris) Yates and their daughter, Allison, all of Tarkio, Mike (Lisa) Welch and their children, Andrew and Emily, Hamburg, Iowa, Rex E. and Rex W. Husted, Kansas City, Missouri, Sheyenne (Timmy) Sinclair and their daughter, Felicity, Liberty, Missouri; brothers-in-law, Jerry (Joyce) Welch and Richard Howell, all of Rock Port; sisters-in-law, Mary Finnell, Rock Port, and Sharon Hughes, Tarkio; and his cousin whom he thought of as a sister, Marvetta (Steve) Volker, Tarkio.
